Corrective Rhinoplasty for Crooked nose

Crooked nose rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure that aims to correct a crooked or asymmetrical nose. This type of rhinoplasty is usually performed by an ENT based rhinoplasty surgeon or a facial plastic surgeon who has experience in correcting nasal deformities.

During the procedure, the surgeon will  opt either endonasal or external approach. The skin and tissue will be lifted away from the underlying bone and cartilage (SMAS plane). Correction of bony and cartilaginous hump will be done if present. Spreader graft will be used if required.  For the correction of upper bony vault, different osteotomies will be done and the crooked or deviated portions of the nose will be straightened or repositioned. Septoplasty if done for the correction of functional problem along with aesthetic problem is known as Septorhinoplasty.

After the surgery, the patient will have to wear a splint on their nose to help it heal in the correct position for 7-10 days. They may also experience some swelling, bruising, and discomfort, which can be managed with medication prescribed by the surgeon.

It is important to note that every individual’s nose is unique, and the results of a rhinoplasty procedure can vary. A consultation with a qualified ENT based rhinoplasty surgeon can help determine if this procedure is right for you and what kind of results you can expect.
